Francis Marion Memorial Service

The annual Francis Marion Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wed. Feb. 27 at the burial site of Marion aka Swamp Fox, highway 45 West near Pineville. Bring your folding chairs and enjoy the history of the Swamp Fox.

St. Stephen UMC Giant Y ard Sale

The United Methodist Church, 183 Hood Street invites everyone to the annual Giant Yard Sale. The yard sale will be held two weekends, on Friday, March 1 and March 8 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday March 2 and March 9 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. A low cost lunch of homemade soup and hot dogs will be available from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Fri. Morning Star Chapter No. 121 Fundraiser

Morning Star Chapter No. 121OES Tea fundraiser will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sat. March 9 at the St. Stephen Evangelical Church. There will be refreshments along with the various flavors of teas. Many door prizes will be given out. Tickets are $15. The proceeds will benefit the Organization of Alzheimer’s Services. Special thanks to Mt. Hope Lodge, St. Stephen Evangelical Church and everybody who help to make this event possible.
