St. John's Christian's baseball team won for the third straight game on Monday, March 18, at Northwood Academy.

Pitcher Mason Ritter struck out nine batters over six innings and leadoff hitter Sumter Moorer collected three hits and three RBIs for the Cavaliers in the 7-4 victory. Leonard Huxford went 3-for-5 and knocked in a run as St. John's Christian improved to 6-3.

The Cavaliers knocked off Clarendon Hall (3-1) and Lowcountry Leadership (10-2) in their previous two games. Aidan McCoy collected two hits and three runs scored, while Jacob Glover drove in two runs against Lowcountry Leadership.

Wando baseball 6

Cane Bay 5

Wando plated a run in the bottom of the eighth to edge Cane Bay, 6-5, in a Region 6-5A baseball game Wednesday, March 20, in Mount Pleasant.

Outfielder C.J. Myers knocked in two runs for the Cobras (5-3, 0-2 region).

Wando also handed Cane Bay a 6-3 loss two days earlier. 

Berkeley softball 13

Goose Creek 1

Berkeley's softball team opened defense of its Region 6-5A title with a 13-1 victory over Goose Creek Monday, March 18, in Moncks Corner.

The Stags broke it open with 10 runs in the bottom of the third inning and finished with 11 hits. Pitcher Mariah Heath was 2-for-3 with seven RBIs for the Stags (4-3, 1-0 region). Courtlyn Cox and Riley Guerry drove in two runs apiece and Payton Gamble chipped in two hits.

Heath earned the win inside the circle for Berkeley, striking out four batters over three innings. She allowed one hit and walked one.

Cane Bay softball 13

Timberland 5

Leadoff hitter Aaliyah McLeod collected three hits, three runs and three RBIs and Cadence Adkins went 4-for-6 with a RBI to power Cane Bay to a softball victory Tuesday, March 19, at Timberland in a non-region game. 

Dakota Smith added two RBIs for the Cobras (4-3), who open their Region 6-5A slate at Stratford March 21 (after press time).
