Fossil Fest 2023 at Cypress Gardens allowed kids to imagine what it was like to live among dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers on back-to-back exhibitions from Feb. 4-5. Young explorers learned about gemstones and other archeological finds, as well as being invited to dig for their own fossils in an on-site pit area. The two-day event had an impressive turnout, recording 891 visitors on Saturday and an additional 400 people on Sunday. About 25 vendors, including several food trucks, were on hand at the prehistoric extravaganza.
