At 2:52 a.m. Saturday, March 2, Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell’s office was notified of a traffic accident on I-26 West Bound 203 that resulted in a fatality.
The victim, who was a passenger, was pronounced deceased on scene and has been identified as Crystal M. Mitchum, 41, of Summerville.
This death is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
