Many Berkeley Modern Quilt Guild members in Bonneau recently entered quilts in Charleston’s Cobblestone Quilt Show in North Charleston.

The guild also displayed mini quilts that the members had made each other as Christmas gifts. This was their first time participating in Cobblestone’s 10th bi-annual quilt show, “Stitching Communities Together.” Terry Truesdale (member) of Russellville won an honorable mention award for her embroidered wool piece, “Happy Easter.”

Sales

Mepkin Abbey in Cordesville has its annual spring vegetable plant sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Many plants will be for sale, and you can get everything needed for your spring garden.

The Lowcountry Day Lily Club plans to have a sale at the Piggly Wiggly in Moncks Corner from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, June 8. Everyone should plan to come out and see all the beautiful lilies for sale. I know they have beautiful ones because I have bought some at past sales.
