Charleston Southern’s football team will start four of its five home football games at 6 p.m. The Buccaneers were 3-2 at home last season.

Four of Charleston Southern’s five home football games in new coach Autrey Denson’s first season will kick off in the evening and finish under the lights.

The Buccaneers have four 6 p.m. starts and another at 3:30 p.m., the school announced on April 29.

In its home slate, CSU hosts North Carolina A&T (Sept. 14), Savannah State (Oct. 5, homecoming), Monmouth (Oct. 26), Hampton (Nov. 9) and Campbell (Nov. 23).

Campbell, the senior day game, will kick at 3:30 p.m.

The Buccaneers are 26-7 at home over the last seven seasons and have seen a rise in attendance with the addition of night games in 2014.

Charleston Southern is on the road the first two weeks of the season, traveling to Furman and South Carolina on Aug. 31 and Sept. 7.

Ticket information, including season ticket packages and single-game ticket prices, will be announced in June.

Denson became the fifth CSU coach in program history when he took over for Mark Tucker in January. Denson was at Notre Dame as the running backs coach for four seasons after stops at South Florida, Miami (Ohio) and Bethune-Cookman.

The Bucs were 5-6 in 2018.
