The Moncks Corner Christmas parade has rescheduled for the second time to avoid rainy weather. Originally set for Dec.1 and then moved to Dec. 8, now the town is aiming for 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.
A tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday as well.
Sara Anderson, events and marketing manager for Moncks Corner, said 15,000 people attended the Christmas parade last year.
She said the South Carolina marching band is sure to draw in a big crowd again this year. There are 80 float entries including the Moncks Corner Town Council and Berkeley High School.
