The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office released a statement after a man was arrested on 10 charges connected to sexual exploitation of a minor.
The AG’s office said Bruce Drury, 72, of Goose Creek was arrested on May 20. Court records show Drury was given a $25,000 personal recognizance bond. He’s suspected of possessing child pornography, authorities said.
According to law enforcement, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Goose Creek Police Department made the arrest. Investigators with the AG’s office, also a member of the ICAC Task Force, assisted the investigation.
Investigators said they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led them to Drury, where they found multiple files of child pornography in his possession, according to an AG press release.
Drury is charged with 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
