The Crowfield Plantation Community Services Association is sponsoring the Crowfield Plantation 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Callen-Lacey Center for Children.
The 5K will be held on Oct. 13 at Middleton Park on Crowfield Boulevard starting at 8:30 a.m.
The USA TF-certified 5K course begins at Middleton Park and continues along Crowfield's scenic paved trail system and ends back at Middleton Park. This is a family event and everyone is welcome.
The Callen-Lacey Center for Children provides a secure, protective, and nurturing environment for abused, abandoned and neglected children. Since opening in 1998, the Callen-Lacey Center for Children of Carolina Youth Development Center has been home to more than eight hundred children ranging in ages from newborn to 17 years of age and is open 24 hours each day throughout the year. The center is a Berkeley County based program serving children from across the entire county.
To register, please go to www.crowfield5K.com for online registration or to download a form. If received on or before October 10, 2012, cost is $20 for individuals, $10 for students grade 12 and under, and $15 per person for team registrations of five or more.
All registrations received after Oct. 10 are $25.
