St. Stephen golf tourney enjoys big turnout

Winners of First Place Net were (l-r) John Waters, Alan Lail, Milton Thames and Shawn Welch.
The St. Stephen Area Development committee hosted a golf tournament on Nov. 18 at the Walker Creek Golf course in St. Stephen.  

The tournament was hosted in honor of Industry Appreciation Week.  Many golfers enjoyed the event.  A special thank-you was sent to all the businesses that participated and made this event possible, and to the staff at Walker Creek Golf course for a job well done.

Winners included:

First place net: John Waters, Alan Lail, Milton Thames and Shawn Welch.  

Second place net: Doug Bowles, Roster Emory, John Clark and Brian West.

Third place net: Caldwell Pinckney, Dan Davis, Bill Gilmore and Sam Harrelson.

First place gross: Scott Broome, Bob Mitchell, Dr. John Swicord and Jerry Brewer.

Second place gross: Mike Locklier, Charles Staley, Mark Gaddy and Bobby Tuggle.

Third place gross: Ron Heyward, Charlie Rich, Sonny Baker and Roger Ganey.

Closet to the Pin winners: John Waters and Phil Pierce. Longest Drive winners: Doug Bowles and Bobby Mitchell. Putting Contest winner: Alan Lail.
