Pine Forest picks up interclub win

Pine Forest came in with a score of 0 to win the 11th match of the Charleston Area Men’s Interclub Golf Association season.
Coosaw Creek finished at negative 14 to claim runner-up honors at the match, held Oct. 1 at Shadowmoss. Trailing were Rivertowne (-32), Berkeley and Charleston Municipal (-36), Crowfield and Miler (-38), Shadowmoss and Stono Ferry –(43), Dunes West and Legend Oaks (-46), Charleston National (-47) and Wescott (-50).
The top individual scores were Pine Forest’s Al Dixon and Lowell McGauhey, who finished with 6 points. Coosaw Creek’s George Adrian and Rich Lindgren and Rich Rivertowne’s Rich Murphy all finished with 5 points. Full results can be found on chsinterclub.org.
Stono Ferry increased its lead in the season standings to 10.5 points. Second to the team’s 108 points is Wescott, which has 97.5. Trailing are Pine Forest (90.5), Charleston Municipal (89.5), Crowfield (86.5), Dunes West (84.5), Berkeley (80.5), Shadowmoss (75), Legend Oaks (68), Miler (67.5), Coosaw Creek (64.5), Charleston National (62.5) and Rivertowne (47.5).
The next match will take place at 9 a.m. Nov. 5 at Dunes West.
