The senior pitcher finished her final season with the Lady Wolves with a 15-5 record, accounting for 213 strikeouts.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to play at this new level.” Grimsley said. “I have always wanted to be a pitcher and I’m really looking forward to working hard on the softball field while getting a great education.”
Grimsley is the first softball player in Timberland’s history to sign an athletic scholarship.
“Shelly’s family and I are very proud of her accomplishment,” Timberland Head Coach Joy Elizondo said. “She has worked very hard to have this opportunity and we know she will do well at Lander.”
