Rodney Cannington




Rodney "Rod" Thomas Cannington, 30, of Moncks Corner, died on March 21, 2008.


 His funeral service was held  at 11:00a.m. on March 24, 2008,  at Pinopolis United Methodist Church,directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner. Burial was at St. John's Baptist Cemetery.


 Born on May 20, 1977 in Manning, he was a son of Rhonda Thomas Cannnington and Charlie Cannington.


 Rod was a 1995 graduate of Berkeley High School and attended Trident Technical College. He was an associate of Town and Country Golf Carts.


 Surviving in  addition to his parents of Moncks Corner, SC;  are a daughter- Jordan Lynlee Cannington of Jamestown,SC; a brother Chay Cannington and his wife, Audrey of Moncks Corner; a sister Jamie Lynne Cannington of Moncks Corner;  nephews C.J. and Drake Cannington of Moncks Corner;  and paternal grandparents-Barbara and Mac Mohoney of Moncks Corner.


Officiating were the Rev. Richard Broomall, the Rev. David Lawson and Pastor Ron Spivey.


 Pallbearers were Derrick Weise, Darrell Weise, Buc Hemstrought, Ken Driggers, Kevin Driggers, Keith Scott, Timmy Moore and Matt Jackson.


Honorary Pallbearers were Jason Bunch, Jason Smith, David Bowers, Richie Dennis.


 Memorials may be made to MUSC Children's Hospital, 169 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29425.
