Samuel Wallace "Sammy" Reynolds Sr. of Pinopolis, a retired maintenance mechanic for the Berkeley County Water and Sanitation Department, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. He was 71.
Surviving are his wife, Mellie Sweatman Reynolds; two daughters, Charlene M. Logan and her husband, Jay, of Pinopolis, and Stacy Varner and her husband, Joe, of New Hope; a son, Sammy W. Reynolds Jr. of Ladson; four sisters, Jackie Chessher and her husband, Dan, and Faye Seitz and her husband, Kirk, all of Texas, and Dot Davis and her husband, Billy, and Ruth Anderson and her husband, Ray, all of Greenwood; two brothers, Warren Reynolds and his wife, Sue, and Billy Joe Reynolds and his wife, Kate, all of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
