Annie Bell Sanders

Annie Bell Sanders, the daughter of the late Willie Isaac Wilson and Rebecca Rosa Wilson, died on Friday, Dec. 4.

Born on June 19, 1957, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Unity Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Cross High School in 1975.  She attended Voorhees College in Denmark, S.C.

She was owner and operator of Sanders Grocery in Cross.  

Mrs. Sanders was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Herman Sanders on Nov. 12, 1977. The couple had two children.

Surviving are her husband; her children, K’Shaun Sanders of Columbia, and Herman Demond Sanders (Arthurlyn) of Columbia; a sister Rosemary (James) Wright, of St. Stephen; two brothers, Willie L. (Lila) Wilson, of Cross, and Leroy Wilson of Detroit, MI; six brothers-in-law: Leon (Martha) Sanders of Colorado, Marion (Mattie) Sanders, Willis Sanders, Zebedee (Carolyn) Sanders of Virginia, Curtis Sanders of Detroit, and Garfield Sanders of Cross; one sister-in-law, Doristine (Anthony) Mosley of Columbia; a grandson, Demond Tyson Sanders of Columbia; aunts Nora Lee Bennett of Cross, Charlotte (Franklin) Broughton of Cross, Mary Wilson of North Carolina, Michelle Wilson of Cross, and Catherine Wilson of Cross; uncles Henry Bennett of Cross, James Bennett of Maryland, Leroy (Sarah) Bennett of New York, Jerome (Alfreda) Wilson of Cross, Joe Paul (Sybil) Wilson of Orlando, FL, Albert Smalls of Vance, SC,  and James (Bert) Sanders of New York; grandmother Reva Wilson Johnson of Cross; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
