Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab in a Moncks Corner residence, the BCSO confirmed Thursday morning.

Three children were living at the residence, and were taken into custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.

"They were removed and seemed to be OK," Berkeley County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Dan Moon said. "I'm sure they will be checked over thoroughly."

The children's mother, Autumn Dudrey, 27 was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine along with three counts of child endangerment. Two male suspects – Alan Lane Smith, 25, and John Glenn Knight, 24, were also arrested and face the same charges.

The lab was operated out of a home on Kuffel Lane in Moncks Corner. The arrest took place Wednesday.

"We had a tip that there may be some illegal activity going on at that address," Moon said. "We responded out there to a tip of drugs and a possible child endangerment. We went out with DSS and found the meth lab.

"It was an active meth lab," Moon said. "It had been, or was being used (on Wednesday)."

All three suspects are at the Hill Finklea Detention Center with bond hearings set for Thursday night, Moon said.
