Detectives were conducting recent surveillance on a residence on Bumpie Lane in the Ridgeville area of Berkeley County when they saw a subject, later identified as 31-year-old Wesley Jerrod Gardner, of Harleyville, arrive and then leave the residence about three minutes later carrying a gallon size plastic bag.
Further investigation revealed that the bag contained approximately 332 grams of marijuana and about 1 gram of cocaine base.
Drug officers then executed a search warrant on the Bumpie Lane residence.
Wayne Williams, 38, of Holly Hill, was found to be the sole occupant of the building where an additional 9.24 lbs. of marijuana were discovered along with a .357 pistol.
Both subjects were charged with Possession with Intent to distribute marijuana. Gardner was also charged with Possession with Intent to distribute cocaine base.
