The Church of Saint John the Beloved (28 Sumter Ave, downtown Summerville) is pleased to present “God's Got Something Better,” featuring Rev. Carl Bright and company in a program based on the life, work, and powerful speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. set to original music. This special concert event will be on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. Rev. Carl Bright is lauded as one of the finest Gospel pianists in the country. Rev. Bright has performed in the popular "Sounds of Charleston" concerts as well as for Piccolo Spoleto Festival in unique, narrative-style concert events.
This program is part of the St. John the Beloved Music and Art Series. It is being presented by the parish with the help of generous donors to the St. John’s concert series. This concert is given as a gift to the community, but donations will be accepted. (Donations of $15 for adults or $5 for students and seniors are suggested.
