On January 5, the Dorchester/County Summerville Police Metro Narcotics Unit ended a month-long narcotics investigation, with the execution of a search warrant on Stable Lane in Ridgeville, SC.

Four individuals were arrested on the property. All of the men were detained as they were trying to leave the property in two different vehicles.  Detectives discovered in one of the vehicles, approximately 100 small marijuana plants that were apparently in the process of being moved to another location.

Further back on the property, were two sheds and a metal container.  All of the sheds were involved in some process of an in- door grow operation and were divided to accommodate the stages of the plants growth.

In all, over 300 plants and seized thousands of dollars of grow equipment were seized.  It is estimated that in good conditions that each plant can yield approximately 1 pound of consumable marijuana.  The estimated value of the seized plants, were $300,000.00.

Each of the individuals was charged with Manufacturing Marijuana.

The individuals were identified as Armando James Verdugo, 23 of Charleston; Vincent Alexander Verdugo, 21 of Ladson; Ryan Ashley Harris, 34 of James Island and Corey Robert Daniels, 21 of Goose Creek.

The investigation began when a patrol deputy of the Sheriff’s Office received a tip and passed it on to the Metro Unit.
