The following incidents were obtained by Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and Moncks Corner Police reports:
• A Moncks Corner man reported that he had evicted a tenant and allowed him to come onto the property to retrieve his personal belongings. When the tenant left, the man found that a number of his items were missing, including a digital camera, television, edger, $20 Wal Mart gift certificate, and 50 Lortab pills.
Later that day, the victim reported that the subject was trying to break into his residence but fled when the victim turned on lights to investigate a noise.
The victim said he plainly saw the subject fiddling with the door lock to the residence. The case is under investigation.
• A woman reported that she was getting into her vehicle when she noticed the passenger side door was not all the way closed. She said nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle but wanted to file a report in case she later found items missing.
• A Moncks Corner man reported that someone stole several items from his vehicle, including two guns, a flashlight, several boxes of ammunition, and a pair of binoculars.
Officers processing the scene were able to lift fingerprints from the passenger door. Further investigation of the area revealed the magazine from one of the stolen firearms, a Glock pistol, about 40 feet away from the victim’s residence. The case is under investigation.
• A man driving down Altman Street in Moncks Corner said someone threw a plastic bottle at his car, striking it in the passenger side window. The window was not damaged but the man wanted to report the incident to alert police to the subject’s presence. He last saw the subject running down Mims Street.
