Letters Headlines
Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter in regards to the condition of Hwy. 6 from Moncks Corner to Cross. I have traveled Hwy. 6 every morning for the past 20 years. I cannot express my concerns strongly enough about the potholes in the highway.
Dear Editor:
Recent events regarding the 419 children removed from the compound in Eldorado, Texas have raised questions about what happens to children who enter the foster care system. This tragic situation has helped raised national awareness of the problems that children face when they are removed from their families and thrust into overburdened court and child protection systems.
Dear Editor:
It is time for the community to come together to show are soldiers that we appreciate them.
Dear Editor:
Earlier this month, South Carolina celebrated National Library Week.
Dear Editor:
As we reflect on our recent community read, “One Book Berkeley,” we realize anew what a community means. Without the enthusiasm, hard work and financial support of so many, our celebration of reading and literacy would not have been possible.
Dear Editor:

I see now that it is about competing with other school districts to see who can BS the taxpayers the best and build the fanciest school. Well, I think that it is obvious that our great superintendent, Chester Floyd, has won that competition, hands down.
Dear Editor:
I have learned that Berkeley County is considering raising water rates to about $78 per month.  I am currently paying about $56 a month, and this is the most I have paid for water in my entire life.
Dear Editor:
How would you like to help a local child succeed in school and become a productive citizen? Or show a family of modest means how to collect and save their tax credit? Or provide the support that prevents a despondent teen from committing suicide?
Dear Editor:
I realize that the below idea is far fetched, but I'm sure there are many Berkeley County residents that are thinking the same thing, and I seriously doubt that this letter will get published for fear that many more residents will start thinking the same, also.
Dear Editor:
I am writing regarding your March 5 article “Cash Flow: County nets over $1 billion in 2007.”
