Not only did these kids participate in the Berkeley County Kids Who Care Project, they also sent smiles to the families in need at the Ronald McDonald House by incorporating writing skills into their projects.
The students created get well cards for the kids. They learned about recycling and taking care of their environment as well as what it means to help other people.
A representative from The Ronald McDonald House spoke to the children and collected the pop tops. The children walked away with a sense of accomplishment, and through the Berkeley County Kids Who Care Project were rewarded with a field trip to Santee Canal Park where they furthered their knowledge about taking care of the environment by touring the many nature exhibits.
