Community prayer meeting a big success
The community prayer meeting and Thanksgiving social on Thursday, Nov. 19 at Hood's Chapel UM Church was enjoyed by many community members. There were over 100 in attendance.
The pastors from community churches who spoke included Bill Tanner of Hood's Chapel UM Church, Chris Peagler of Victory Baptist Church, Arnold Turner of Oak Grove PH Church, and Mike Todd of Mt. Calvary PH Church.
There was a lot of praying, singing and testimonials. After the prayer service everyone gathered in the fellowship hall to eat and enjoy the fellowship. Their were lots of food so everyone was able to take some home with them or take a plate to someone who is homebound and were not able to attend.
The next community prayer meeting is scheduled to be at Oak Grove PH Church in February 2010.
