Timberland JROTC honored
On November 13th, 2009, the
The Timberland High School Army JROTC Wolf Battalion underwent its Triennial Formal Inspection Nov. 13.
This inspection was performed by representatives of the Fourth Brigade, U.S. Army Cadet Command in Fort Bragg, NC, assisted by members of the U.S. Army
Recruiting Station in North Charleston.
As a result of scoring 97 out of a possible 100 points, the Wolf Battalion was again designated as an Honor Unit with Distinction, the highest rating given to JROTC Units by the U.S. Army ROTC Command.
Special recognition is given to the Battalion Commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Talikqua Myers; Battalion Executive Officer, Cadet Major Jameeha Jenkins; Battalion Staff S-1, Cadet Captain Maria Hydrick; Battalion Staff S-2, Cadet Captain Ashley Dingle; Battalion Staff S-3, Cadet Captain Diana Nixon; Battalion Staff S-4, Cadet Captain Danny Helton; and Battalion Staff S-5, Cadet Sergeant Major Eden June, for their hard work during the preparation for the inspection.
‘Exploration Into Careers’
On Dec. 16 and March 24, 2010, the THS Guidance Department will host its First "Exploration Into Careers" Program, which will highlight different occupations and be presented by actual persons in that profession. This will be a great opportunity for students to see and hear about different careers.
Parents are also invited to attend. Freshmen and sophomores are scheduled at 7:55 a.m. in the auditorium and juniors and seniors at 9:05 a.m.
Concerts
The St. Stephen Middle School was scheduled to hold its combined Fall Band and Chorus concert on Tuesday.
Timberland High School will have its combined Fall Band and Chorus concert on Wednesday (Dec. 16) at 6:30 pm at the Timberland High School auditorium. Admission is free and all are welcome!

Basketball: The Wolves host Goose Creek on Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m., then travel to Cross to play on Friday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Next, they travel to play Lake Marion on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
