Congratulations to Amanda Schumann for winning a third place award for her seascape artwork at the Coastal Carolina Fair in her youth category.
Amanda is the daughter of John and Robett Schumann of St. Stephen. The art exhibition ran the duration of the fair.
Categories are divided into age groups. Any student in the tri-county area was eligible to participate.
In addition to Amanda’s work, the following students displayed entries in the Youth Division: Melvin Hurn, Jeffery Paige, Gabe Shuler, Mason Benton, Jenna Heredia, Raemon Speights, Amanda Shumann, Taylor Fowler, Shelby Fowler, Scott Avant, Jennorris Pinckney, Brandon Renwick, Charmaine Ferguson, and Sadie Horne. Congratulations to these students and their families.
THS Fashion Show
The Timberland High School Future Business Leaders of America Fourth Annual Fashion Show will be on Dec. 12, in the auditorium.
The guest emcee for the night will be Mrs. Rameca Vincent Leary, formerly of Channel 5 News, and now the assistant director of recruiting at Trident Technical College.
The Gospel Group Purpose 8:28 will also be performing as well as several others. Tickets will be $8 in advance and
$10 at the door. The fashion show coordinator is Cpl. Allison Taylor and the FBLA Advisor is Mrs. Gwendolyn Robinson.
Timberland Coronation
The Timberland High School Coronation Ceremony will be held on Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. Any campus king/queen and their court are invited to participate in the coronation with their escorts.
Class representatives and club representatives are also invited to participate, as are queens from other schools. For more information contact Ms. Bradshaw at 567-8110.
