As in years past, attendees can enjoy food from all over the world, including cuisine from the Philippines, Italy, Poland, Mexico, and Brazil. Along with the international cuisine will be everybody’s favorite festival foods: hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, barbecue chicken and baked beans. Cold drinks will be available to wash it all down. And if there’s any room left, attendees can enjoy a variety of homemade deserts.
In addition to the food and drink, there will be entertainment for the whole family. Kids can ride ponies, play in the caterpillar, bounce in the air castle, or take a turn on the Super Slide. There are also games for all ages: horse racing, a cake walk, Wheel of Fortune, Ring Toss, Tin Can Alley, and the Lollipop Tree, just to name a few. Grown-ups can participate in an auction for items donated by local businesses, browse the White Elephant tent that opens from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., try their luck in a number of raffles including the big one at 3 p.m., enjoy a relaxing massage from a massage therapist, or listen to live music by local school bands.
Festival organizers invite the communities of Charleston to spend the afternoon with family and friends at the Taste of Charleston.
