Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced the arrest of a man after deputies responded to a homicide in Goose Creek Saturday night.

A North Carolina man is dead after being shot Wednesday, March 20, by off-duty Summerville police officer Anthony DeLustro near Chick-fil-A on North Main Street in Summerville.

Octavia Lashay Rivers, 40, of Goose Creek, was charged with one count of Fraudulent Acquisition or Use of Food Stamps valued at $10,000 or more and one count of Forgery valued at less than $10,000. Rivers was booked at the Berkeley County Detention Center.
