Kayak classes geared toward children and teens (ages 14-17) will be held on July 18.
Beginners will enjoy learning the correct techniques to become avid kayakers. This will be a great opportunity for children and teens to learn how to paddle a kayak and open a lifetime of enjoyment. The number of class participants is limited; call ASAP to be added to the sign-up list. Cost of class is $10.
Classes will be held at Camp Moultrie, located on Lake Moultrie, near Moncks Corner. If more information is needed, email hellholecenter@palmettoconservation.org or call 567-4480.
Summer Music Day Camp
A Summer Music Day Camps for children is scheduled for July 20 to July 24, and Aug. 3 to Aug. 7. All classes will be Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The child must be first, second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth graders, and has completed their grade. Cost per week is $55, and includes lunch. If interested, contact Laura Carter 825-2320.
Donations Needed
The St. Stephen Visitor/Outdoor Center is asking for donations of life vests in “good condition” for children. Donations will be greatly appreciated. If more information is needed, call 567-4480.
