Ashley Nichole Kirkland of Kingstree and Randall Shea Floyd Jr. of New Zion were married on July 11, 2009 at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church in Turbeville. The Rev. Robert Lape and the Rev. Legrande Taylor performed the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Twin Lakes in Cades, SC.

The bride is the daughter of Tommy and Anne Kirkland of Macedonia. She is the granddaughter of Ella Kirkland and the late Mr. and Mrs. Amsey Barnett of Russellville; Virginia Kirkland and the late Clifton A. (Buddy) Kirkland of Macedonia; and Billy Simmons and the late Edward W. Simmons Sr., Charles W. Buckles Jr., and Mrs. Gladys Windham, all of St. Stephen.

The bride earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Charleston Southern University and is currently continuing her education in the Health Science field at Central Carolina Technical College.

The groom is the son of Randall and Suzette Floyd of New Zion. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franklin Allen of Sumter; the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Carlysle Floyd; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wheeler Floyd; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Belton Bagnal; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franklin Allen Sr.; and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Blankenship.

The groom graduated from East Clarendon High School in Turbeville and is employed by Floyd’s Fertilizer Inc. of New Zion.

Mrs. Alison W. Harrison of Moncks Corner was Maid of Honor. Bride’s attendants were Miss Andrea Sara Floyd, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Lisa W. Simmons. Flower girl was Miss Katlyn Kirkland and the ring bearer was Thomas Kirkland III, niece and nephew of the bride.

Best man was Randall Shea Floyd Sr., father of the groom. Groomsmen were Mr. Tyson Neil Floyd and Mr. John Carlysle Floyd, cousins of the groom. The couple will honeymoon in Yellowstone National Park and will reside in Kingstree.
