Workman, D’Amato to wed




Mr. and Mrs. Edwin G. Workman of Goose Creek announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth Marie Workman, to Robert John D’Amato of Moncks Corner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard G. D’Amato of Mount Pleasant and Bronxville, New York.


Miss Workman is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Stenstrom of North Charleston, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin F. Workman of Marietta, Georgia, and the late Mrs. Joan Workman of Knoxville, Tennessee.


The bride-to-be is a graduate of Stratford High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina in December of 2004, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina in May of 2007. She is employed by Roper St. Francis Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Heart and Vascular Tower.


Mr. D’Amato is the grandson of Mrs. Anna D’Amato and the late Mr. John V. D’Amato of Yonkers, New York and the late Mrs. Valerie Reno of Alexandria, Virginia.


The prospective groom is a graduate of Dutch Fork High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Presbyterian College in May of 2003, as well as a Masters Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina in May of 2006.  He is employed by the Berkeley County School District, where he teaches physics and biology at Goose Creek High School.  He also coaches Varsity football and wrestling.


The wedding is planned for July 12, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
