Three high school basketball teams from the Berkeley County School District finished the regular season ranked by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association.
The Cross boys ended up No. 6 in Class A. Cane Bay's boys were No. 8 in Class 5A, while Berkeley's girls finished No. 10 in the state's largest classification.
In all, 12 Charleston-area squads made the top 10 in their classifications. The rest of the group was led by Military Magnet's girls, who went wire to wire at No. 1 in Class A this winter.
Oceanside Collegiate's boys and Summerville boys were the next highest-ranked teams and No. 2 in Class 2A and Class 5A.
Ashley Ridge's girls (5A), Bishop England's girls (2A) and Burke's boys (1A) capped the regular season at No. 5 in their respective classifications.
Basketball playoffs cranked up Tuesday, Feb. 13 and conclude with the state championships March 1-2 at The Florence Center.
