Janette Hood

On Sunday, April 14, Clayton Tovo was the Hood’s Chapel UM Church speaker. He gave a wonderful sermon that was very inspiring and enjoyed by all. Clayton has spoken at Hood’s Chapel before and will be back in June. He is a graduate of The Citadel and is with the Weslyn Foundation. Thanks so much, Clayton, for the great sermon.

Timberland High

Coach Greg Wring of Timberland High School has been named to the South All-Star coaching staff for the 77th annual Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl in December. He played in the game as an outside linebacker for the South Squad 2001. This is a full- circle moment for Timberland High School.

Thefts

There have been a number of thefts and other violations in the Macedonia area. The latest was a theft at Bonner Elementary.

Everyone, keep your eyes open and beware of what is happening. There are a number of people wandering the roads around the area. I am not saying they are all scoping out places. Some are just going to relatives, but we need to keep a watch because some may be up to mischief. There is a Macedonia Community Facebook page where anyone can post things that are happening in the area, including missing dogs or cats. It is a very informative page.

Prayer List

Pray for Ada Giggleman, Edith Caddell, Hugh and Judy Phillips, Pat Patzs, Cassie Shurlknight, Jim Garton, Barbara Brown, Family of Asher Patz, all those grieving, first responders, firefighters, law enforcement, military, our community and country.
