Moncks Corner Baptist hosts Queen for a Year contest

The Antioch Baptist Associations’ Women’s Auxiliary conducted its Annual Queen for a Year Coronation at the Moncks Corner Baptist Church last week.

Nieesah Mitchell of Day Dawn Baptist Church was the Queen’s Contest winner. Marcella Dillon of Moncks Corner Baptist was first runner up, and Iva Beauford of Bethlehem Baptist was second runner up, with TiJay Shepherd of Jehovah Baptist Church.

Sister Lorraine Dingle of St. Stephen Baptist Church was the reigning Queen for 2013.

A beautifully delivered message was well received, and was followed with a call for prayer.

Quarterly Meeting

The Lowcountry District Missionaries conducted their quarterly meeting of the Antioch Baptist Association at Jehovah Baptist Church in Bonneau on Aug. 8.

Low Country Missionary Presidents are: Antioch Baptist Association, Sister Lillie Whitten; Charleston County Baptist Association, Sister Carolyn McCoy; Cooper River Baptist Association, Sister Dorothy Washington; New Ashley Baptist Association, Reverend Dorothy Washington; New Zion Baptist Association, Sister Sandra Singleton; Old Ashley Baptist Association, Sister Roberta Simmons; and Progressive Baptist Association, Sister Juanita Roper.

The next meeting of the group will take place on Nov. 8 in Charleston with the New Ashley Missionary Organization.
