Crash claims 30-year-old Moncks Corner man

A 30-year-old Moncks Corner man is dead after a 2 a.m. car accident on Highway 45.

According to Berkeley County Deputy Coroner Darnell Hartwell, Andra Robinson of Moncks Corner was driving on Highway 45 when he ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree. He was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated by the Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

Mr. Robinson was then transported to a local emergency room and pronounced dead, Hartwell reported.

Hartwell has ruled the death as accidental and the cause of death is from injuries received from the accident.

The Berkeley County Coronerís Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the accident.
