The Macedonia Community Action Project will hold a dinner fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Oak Grove PH Church Life Worship Center.
The dinner will consist of chicken bog, slaw candied yams, rolls and tea. The cost is $7 a plate and can be eaten in or taken out.
Singers will entertain during the fundraising time. Tickets will be sold before the date of the fundraiser so MCAP can get a better count of how much food they will need.

MCAP also plans to have the Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Macedonia Fire Dept. on Hwy 17-A.
Hickory Grove PH Church’s Lunch in a Bag fundraiser is Oct. 9. The lunch consists of a barbecue sandwich, slaw, chips and pound cake. The cost will be $7. The money will be used to help build a church in Peru.
Hood’s Chapel UM Church will not be changing its Sunday School time as I wrote in a recent column. Their Sunday Service is 10 to 11 a.m. and Sunday School is at 11:15. On fifth Sundays, Sunday School will be at 10 a.m. and service at 11 when the church has dinner after the service.
