Moncks Corner police continue to search for a suspect in an armed robbery of the Sunoco convenience store at 101 S. Live Oak Dr.

Officers responded to the store just after 5:30 a.m. Aug. 4 after a 911 call from the manager. She told officers a black male ran up behind her as she entered the store and apparently put his thumb against her back to simulate a gun barrel.

He then forced her to open the cash drawer and put all of the money into a small, black drawstring bag, the report stated. He left on foot toward the back of the store.

The manager reported that $11,000 was taken, and she described the suspect as approximately 20 years old with black hair and brown eyes, 5-foot-6, 145 pounds, and wearing a black hooded shirt or cap and black pants.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Moncks Corner Police Department at 719-7930 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
