Moncks Corner’s Baxley among GSSM board members

The South Carolina Governorís School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) Foundation has announced the following new board members for the 2014-2017 Board of Directors term:

Mike Baxley, Moncks Corner, Santee Cooper; Joe Bouknight, Greenville, ScanSource, Inc.; John Coyler, Jr, Florence, Sonoco; June S. Kerr, Hopkins, Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC; Avi Lawrence, Spartanburg, Contec, Inc.; Jack Mitchell, Charleston, AT&T; Rob Moran, Columbia, Aflac; Scott Alan Ruby, Greenville, Fluor.

The GSSM Foundation also recently appointed the following board officers for the 2014-2015 term: Chairman Randy Senn, Columbia, SCANA; Vice Chairman Kurt R. Kraft, Charleston, The Boeing Company; Treasurer Peter Bristow, Columbia, First Citizens Bank; Secretary Bob Brown, Darlington, Integrated Systems, Inc.

The GSSM Foundation supports GSSM by giving voice to its needs, providing supplemental funds to augment its programs and informing the public of its accomplishments and contributions to the quality of life and economic prosperity of South Carolina.

The Foundationís core objectives include fundraising, recruitment, admissions, marketing, advocacy, outreach and alumni relations.
