Five suspects have been arrested by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in connection with thefts from several vehicles in the Cane Bay Subdivision in Summerville.
The BCSO announced the arrests Thursday.
One suspect was observed standing next to a vehicle he had just broken into, and in his possession were items from that vehicle. The suspect was apprehended and, through further investigation, four additional suspects were charged with Burglary First Degree and multiple vehicle break-ins in that subdivision.
The arrest included two juveniles, one currently housed at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, and the other booked and released to his parent, charged with Misprision of a Felony, and False Information to Police.
According to the BCSO, Tyler Silence, 18, of Summerville, has been charged with Burglary First Degree and multiple vehicle break-ins he has been given a $75,000 surety bond.
A 17-year-old male from Moncks Corner, Lawrence Frangos Jr., has been charged with Burglary First Degree and multiple vehicle break-ins; he has been given a $70,000 surety bond.
William Countee III, 19, of Moncks Corner, has been charged with Burglary First Degree and multiple vehicle break-ins; he has been given a $70,000 surety bond.
Silence is currently out on bond, and the other suspects are being housed at the Hill Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
