Fatal Bonneau wreck kills driver

A driver of a pickup truck had died followng a single vehicle wreck near Bonneau July 14, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Gary Edwin Simmons, 41, was traveling on Harristown Road when his truck ran off the roadway and overturned at around 7:30 a.m. July 14. Mr. Simmons was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Salisbury has ruled Mr. Simmonsí death as accidental.

The wreck was investigated by the Berkeley County Coronerís Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
