File Photo The Fourth of July makes for a festive scene in downtown Moncks Corner.

Itís finally here: The Fourth of July!

According to Moncks Corner Park and Recreation Director Ralph Jones, a full slate of activities and events are scheduled to celebrate Independence Day in Moncks Corner this year.

The weekend celebration starts with a Main Street parade at 7 p.m. followed by the street dance from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Town Depot on Behrman Street.

ďA new parade route (will proceed) out from behind the Berkeley Alternative School parking lot area onto Main Street,Ē Jones said. ďThe parade route will continue down Main Street and will exit left just before the railroad tracks at Behrman Street and flow down past Williams Farm Supply to the vacant lot behind Town Hall to disband.Ē

Street dance music will once again be provided by the Custom 4 and Friends band. Included in the street dance celebration will be a dance area for adults and children, plus food vendors to provide a fun family evening.
