Jamestown road paving set for 2015 completion

  • Tuesday, June 24, 2014

Many of you are probably wondering why the repaving of Highways 17-A and 45 from Jamestown going toward Moncks Corner and St. Stephen has not started.

Resident Maintenance Engineer for SCDOT/Berkeley Maintenance, Thomas R. Lewis, P.E., provided this update: “This project was awarded to Banks Construction on Feb. 10, 2014 with a completion date of May 31, 2015... it is really up to them (Banks) when they decide to start as long as they meet the completion date.”

The project limits are still as originally planned, which are .12 miles east of Kinlaw Road through .2 miles West of SC-45 for a total of 4.3 miles.

Thanks to Thomas Lewis for providing this update.
