One man is dead after a shooting in St. Stephen, law enforcement have confirmed.
The St. Stephen Police Department is investigating the case.
According to Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dan Moon, the shooting took place early Wednesday afternoon.
“There has been a shooting in St. Stephen and one person is deceased,” he said. “We are assisting the St. Stephen Police Department in the investigation of the case.”
According to a late BCSO report, police and deputies responded, just before 11:00 am, to a report of shots fired at 1020 Graham Street in St. Stephen. Upon arrival they found one victim who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.. The Berkeley County Coroner will release the victim’s name following notification of next of kin.
