Man arrested on sexual assault charge

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in reference to the Sexual Assault of a Child.

The BCSO announced the arrest Tuesday, May 27 in a news release.

David Earl Wesly Rabon, 30, has been arrested by the BCSO and charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the Second Degree, one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor in the Third Degree, and one count of Committing a Lewd Act Upon a Child.

According to the release, on May 26 Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint in reference to the sexual assault of a minor. On May 27 Berkeley County Investigators made contact with Rabon and it was determined that probable cause existed to make an arrest.

David Rabon is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center where a bond hearing is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 27.
