Youth choir celebrates 42 years

  • Tuesday, May 13, 2014

The Day Dawn Baptist Youth Choir celebrated its 42nd Anniversary on May 4 in the church sanctuary in Pineville, with the Rev. Joshua Prioleau as host pastor.

At the point of its entrance the Youth Choir delivered renditions of “He’s a Mighty God,” “It’s Working,” “Champion,” and “He’ll Welcome Me.”

When they completed their performance, the Roll Call of Guest Choirs continued. Needless to say, a wonderful time was had by everyone in attendance.

We congratulate the choir members, advisors, directors, musicians and all associated individuals on their anniversary program and wish them continued success in, and with, their ministry.

Trip to Florida’s Holy Land

The Adult Missionary Auxiliary of the Day Dawn Baptist Church is spearheading a church trip to the Holy Land Experience Park, in Orlando, Fla., on June 28. They are offering the trip to everyone (male and female), who would like to attend.

The cost of the entire trip (including bus transportation, hotel accommodations, Holy Land Park tickets, and bus snacks) is $200 round trip, per person. A deposit of $100 is to be received upon reception of this notice, with the final date for the reception of funds being June 14.

Receipts will be provided for all payments submitted. The collection procedures require the reception of cash only. It is important to note that the trip is not a fundraiser for the group, so it is important to pay in a timely manner to ensure that sufficient funds and participants will be in place to allow the trip to occur.

The bus will leave the Day Dawn Baptist Church parking lot on June 27 at 7 a.m.
