The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports:
A man was arrested for disorderly conduct on a recent afternoon in a parking lot off South Live Oak Drive near Moncks Corner. The subject was passed out in a vehicle. The vehicle was parked at Dollar General and the subject had an open container of beer. The subject had difficultly standing and speaking to the deputy due to his level of intoxication.
A man led deputies into the woods during a recent foot chase near Pineville. Deputies responded to Willowood Road in reference to a disturbance when they saw a man hide behind a car. The deputies yelled “Sheriff’s Office, stop” and began chasing the subject on foot. The subject ran into the wood line and deputies heard a loud thump then silence. They slowly walked through the brush and found the subject lying down. “I see you with the red shoes,” the deputy said. “Come out with your hands up.”
The subject complied and was handcuffed. A terry frisk revealed a pill bottle that contained Tramadol. A deputy removed the prescription which had 53 out of 60 pills in the bottle.
The subject was arrested for unlawful possession of a prescribed narcotic. The subject was also charged with evading arrest and giving false information to police.
