Hood’s Chapel UM Church’s April 12 The food and bake sale to raise money for a new roof was a success.
There were lots of delicious baked cakes, pies, cupcakes and more. Many people enjoyed a delicious assortment of desserts. Hood’s Chapel thanks everyone for their help and support.
The church has plans for more fundraisers in the coming months … I will share details in The Independent when they are available.
The Macedonia Community Action Project will be having a”Summer Fun Tea” on the afternoon of Saturday, May 17 in the Fellowship building at Hickory Grove PH Church on Bethera Road.
Glenda Shank along with models will host a young girls (ages 6 to 12) fashion show using clothes from Dillard’s of Northwoods Mall. There will be lots of delicious foods, and door prizes.
If anyone would like to reserve a table call Faye at 565-3920.
Don’t forget April 22 is Earth Day. Let’s help keep the environment clean. Recycle as much as you can. In Macedonia there are bins to recycle items.
They are located close to Macedonia Middle and Bonner Schools facing Cane Gulley Road. It would be nice to keep the sides of the roads clean every day, and not just Earth Day. I know we don’t celebrate this day but many parts of the world do.
