Zion United Methodist Church will have Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on Easter. Many other churches will also have this special service to celebrate Easter as well as Easter Cantatas.
Friendship United Methodist Church will have a Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday at 6:30 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary. Breakfast will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Worship Service will be held at 10 a.m. for Easter morning. (Note the time change for Easter due to the earlier hour).
Strawberries are ripe and ready for picking on Hwy. 27 in Berkeley County near the intersection of Hwy. 176 and 27).
Hickory Bluff Nursery and Berry Farm is owned and operated by Walter and Kathy Early, who returned home after retirement to start another career.
This nursery and berry farm has great strawberry jam for sale made with their berries, as well as berries to pick and make your own jam. Fig bushes and other fruit trees are also available for purchasing. Fresh strawberries are wonderful with any kind of cake and cream for a marvelous spring dessert.
When one’s 50th wedding anniversary is rapidly approaching, anniversaries begin to have more significance. Walter and Kathy Early said they have been married for 45 years. While we reminisced, we recalled quickly two other couples, Brenda Kay and Robert Grooms, and Vi and Allen Weiss. Why do couples in that age category remain together more often than younger couples do? What factors create a stable, lasting marriage?
