Dillon Salisbury continued his hot hitting with three hits and three RBIs to lead Berkeley to an 8-2 rout of Hanahan and improve to 11-2 on the season on Wed. April 9 at Jim Bradley Field.
The Stags have positioned themselves for another run at a Region 8-AAA title, only this time with a piecemeal moundstaff once decimated by injuries.
Berkeley has not allowed more than four runs in a game this season - the March 1 4-3 loss to Goose Creek in the final game of the weather-shortened Post 166 preseason tournament - and has posted a staff 1.31 ERA over the seasonís first 13 ball games.
The Stags scored three times each in the second and third innings to put the game away.
Eric Orton and Dylan Baker had two hits each to help lead the Stags.
Zach Gonzales picked up the win to improve to 3-0 on the season, scattering six hits and allowing just two runs while pitching into the fifth inning.
Jeffrey Stone closed out the win by hurling hitless relief.
