WIRE meeting set for April 17

  • Wednesday, April 9, 2014

The Quarterly Meeting of WIRE will be at noon on April 17 at Berkeley Electric Co-op in Moncks Corner. The speaker for this will be Carlene Bailey, who will discuss couponing.

Members are asked to continue WIRE’s project with nursing homes by bringing items to share.

Sandra Thompson wrote to invite everyone to join the nonprofit group called “Togetherness” to work to make a positive difference within our community.

To ensure that children of the community have a Happy Easter, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the youth of the community on April 19 at 4 p.m. at Spiers Landing.

Members of the group working with Sandra include Kela Middleton, Amy Johnson and Shanae Brown. Contact one of these ladies if you are willing to assist with this project for the benefit of our children. Call (843) 276-4818.

Happy Birthday

A note was received from Dottie Hurt wishing her friend Libbie a Happy Birthday on April Fool’s Day! Libbie C. Sweatman and Spencer Hutto both had birthdays on April 1.

Libbie is always positive and says often,”God has got my back!”

All of Libbie’s friends join Dottie in wishing her a happy 60th birthday. Spencer Hutto was indeed an April Fool’s Day surprise to his Mother and their Doctor when he arrived weighing over 11 pounds!

George Sweatman had a surprise birthday party at Black’s Restaurant to celebrate his wife’s 60th birthday. Telisha Bilton assisted George with party decorations for a very festive occasion.
