Helen Coleman Chaplin

Helen Coleman Chaplin of North Charleston, wife of Charles L. Chaplin, passed away March 30, 2014 in a North Charleston hospital. She was 88.

Mrs. Chaplin was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Florence, daughter of Maxcey Coleman and Ella Turner Coleman.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons, Paul Chaplin and Maxie Chaplin; two daughters, Linda Case and Mary Szetecz;

a brother, Maxcey Coleman; a sister, Lula Eisenhower; three grandchildren, Jennifer Purcell, Allison Chaplin and Lindsay Koeper; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Ashley Koeper, and daughter-in-law Brenda Chaplin.

Her funeral service was held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner, on April 2, with interment at St. John’s Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 112 E. Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

Michelle Andrea L. McIntyre

Michelle Andrea Lewis McIntyre died on Feb. 22, 2014. She was 39.

Services were held on March 1 at Greenland Baptist Church in Pineville.

Pastor Valentine Williams was the eulogist.

Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

Evelyn C. Miller

Evelyn C. Manigault Miller of St. Stephen died on Feb. 13, 2014. She was 57.

Services were held on Feb. 26 at Inez M. Henryhand Memorial Chapel in St. Stephen. The Rev. Cornell Johnson was the eulogist. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

Jimmie O’Neal Hill

Jimmie O’Neal Hill, 66, of the Lebanon Community, passed away March 23, 2014. He was 66.

Jimmie was born Sept. 9, 1947 in Berkeley County, son of Ernest Fletcher and Pearl Welch Hill.

Surviving are two sons, Christopher Hill and Patrick Hill; two sisters, Christina Souther and Bertie Wortman; two brothers, David Hill and Harry Hill; and a grandson, Joseph Hill.

His graveside funeral service was held in Rudd Branch Cemetery on March 26, 2014, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Lebanon Community Center, 1222 Whitehouse Road, Summerville, SC 29483.

Debra A. Thames

Debra Ann Thames of Macedonia, a former production worker for C.R. Bard, died Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014 in a Columbia nursing home. She was 58.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy L. Linnen and her husband, Luther, of Gaston; two sons, Marty Myers and his wife, Ena, of Ocean Shores, WA, and Lance Thames of Moncks Corner; a sister, Gail Sines of Frankford, DE; and three grandchildren.

Ronald J. Kabool

Ronald Joseph “Ron” Kabool of Awendaw, owner and operator of Lowcountry Nursery Company, died Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2014 at his residence. He was 64.

Surviving are his companion, Tammy J. Roberson of Moncks Corner; two daughters, Shelly West of Goose Creek and Claudia Roberson of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Robin K. Carter, Patty K. Rotenberry, and his twin sister, Connie K. McKinney, all of Kingsport, TN; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
